Community

We are proud to make a difference in the local community, one stitch at a time. Please join us in creating quilts to warm babies, soothe souls, say Thank You and help the less fortunate. Bring your heart and your ideas.

HeartWork

Sharing the warmth and secure feeling that a quilt provides is one of the most important things we do at Pieceful Heart Fabrics.

Quilters Giving Back Bee

Our Quilters Giving Back Bee, which meets twice a month, produces over 300 quilts each year. PHF donates most materials for these quilts and after our wonderful quilters/customers lovingly make them into cuddly quilts we make sure they get into the hands of deserving babies and toddlers via Sharing Connections Furniture Bank in Downers Grove. We remain committed to this program and appreciate all the time and effort you donate.

Since April 8th we have delivered 112 Baby Quilts, 28 knit/crocheted afghans, 3 Throw Quilts, 2 Twin Quilts, and 1 knit scarf to Sharing Connections.

Thank you to the following who either came to our Quilters Giving Back Bee Days headed by Anne Christopher and Judy Bernhard or worked at home:

Pieceful Community, Peaceful World Bee

Working on various projects during our Pieceful Community, Peaceful World Bee, we completed one twin quilt, 2 throw quilts, and several Little Dresses for Haiti/Africa/the World.

Contributing to the above were: Mary Wojewnik, Sue O‘Connor, JoAnn Jeffreys, Linda Kaminski, Marsha Martinaitis, and Aniela Levin. JoAnn will take the dresses to her church to deliver to missionaries in Haiti, the throw quilts went to Sharing Connections, and the twin quilt will be sent to Quilter‘s Dream for their ALS project. We welcome new members to this once a month Bee, details to be found under Clubs and Bees.

My heartfelt thanks and appreciation go out to everyone who contributed in any way to the above service projects. Well done, friends! Just think of all of the lives we've touched!
